While the WordPress WYSIWYG editor allows editors to write pure HTML in the Text view, some of the code has been known to be altered or even deleted entirely when switching between the Text and Visual modes. Especially when saving the post and coming back to it later.
Because shortcodes never get deleted, the 'Div Shortcode' plugin provides a special shortcode that outputs its content inside an HTML DIV element, avoiding any problems that might come from the default WYSIWYG editor.
Default syntax is [div id="foo" class="bar"] content goes here [end-div].
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
